tbh i don’t understand why people separate the “genres” of roleplaying. if you’re a cartoon roleplaying blog, chances are people won’t really want to roleplay with you if they’re an anime or manga roleplaying blog. if you’re a video game roleplaying blog, the same thing happens unless it’s an uber popular game ( i.e: legend of zelda, pokemon, and super mario ). if you don’t use irl fcs or don’t have a live action tv show character, chances are people from that subcategory don’t wanna roleplay with you.
idk it’s really stupid in my opinion, and i’m not one to stereotype, but i’ve seen this happen a lot. and i come from roleplaying ocs, video game characters, anime/manga characters, AND now a cartoon character. so you know it’s happened a lot.
i get having a preference, since i do too, i just wish people wouldn’t separate roleplaying, since it’s the exact same thing no matter what subcategory you come from.
either way, we’re all pretending to be a fake person from some sort of form of media, there’s no need to act better than anyone by being from a different version of media.
